Get engaged! Be proactive! Be loving! To your teen it will seem like and invasion of their privacy if you take away his music. Instead consider the music your teen is listening to carefully and be sure that it's not just the style that you dislike. Also, research the bands your teen is listening to and strive to be involved in his life. Teen listen to music that they related to, and that speaks to how they are feeling.  It's important to be sensitive to that.
